One former Rutgers tight end got good news while another received bad in Cincinnati over the weekend.
While Tyler Kroft's career in the NFL appears to be just beginning after the Bengals chose him in the draft earlier this month and he reported for his first minicamp this weekend, there is no longer a roster spot for veteran Kevin Brock, who caught five passes for the Orange and Black last season.
Brock, who played in 14 games for the Bengals, was waived Sunday.

Blaming Kroft for Brock's fate is probably not quite fair, though. At the same time the team announced its move regarding Brock, it also disclosed the signings of four other players, including tight end John Peters, who played at Mount St. Joseph, a Division III college in Cincinnati.
