Report: Alabama fans flocked to online porn following Ohio State upset

Following the inaugural College Football Playoff, Ohio State walked away with the first national championship in playoff history. In retrospect, the Buckeyes were clearly the best team in the playoff field. However, entering the semifinal against the Alabama Crimson Tide, Ohio State was nearly a double-digit underdog (plus-9.5).

So how did Bama fans console themselves following the 42-35 upset at the hands of Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl? According to AL.com, they swarmed to online pornography.

Usage statistics obtained by AL.com via pornography website Pornhub states a "90 percent surge in traffic from Alabama immediately following the game’s bitter ending."

Apparently the 90 percent figure is in comparison to an average day in Alabama, but graphs do show site traffic surged immediately following the end of the Sugar Bowl:

While their team may have been upset and lost out on an opportunity to win a national championship, many Alabama fans refused to go to sleep without at least a small victory on New Year’s Day.

Roll Tide Roll.
