Jalen Harris needs to say an extra prayer tonight, as Auburn’s freshman tight end escaped injury Sunday night as his SUV was destroyed in a one-car accident on the way back to campus.

Auburn’s head coach addressed the accident Monday while speaking to the Morning Quarterback Club in Birmingham.

"That was a pretty scary deal," Gus Malzahn said according to AL.com. "We’re very, very happy. It could have been a scary deal with the accident but it looks like he’ll be OK.

"As soon as it was over with he called me and he was in a little bit of shock but the main thing is he’s OK," Malzahn said. "That was a scary ordeal."

Harris was a member of Auburn’s 2015 recruiting class and has yet to record any statistics for the team. Thankfully, he still has plenty of time to leave his mark with the team following his accident.
