From the story …

You have the old-guard Alabama fans, who know Bear Bryant’s middle name was William (and that his players NEVER called him Bear, but always “Coach Bryant”) and still harbor a huge grudge that the 1966 Crimson Tide team wasn’t named national champions.

And you have the new-guard Alabama fans, who might not know that Bryant High School in Tuscaloosa is named after the greatest coach in college football history, and are of the firm belief their Crimson Tide will never lose again.

The one thing both factions can agree on is that the sun rises and sets at 920 Paul W. Bryant Drive in Tuscaloosa — ground zero of Alabama Nation, the jewel of college football known as Bryant-Denny Stadium.
