Alabama RB Yeldon will be pregame decision for Sugar Bowl

Alabama may have one fewer running back when it takes the field for Thursday’s Sugar Bowl semifinal game vs. Ohio State, as Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban said T.J. Yeldon will be a pregame decision.

Yeldon has battled ankle and hamstring injuries this season but missed only the team’s game vs. Western Carolina. He rushed for a season-high 127 yards vs. Auburn in the Iron Bowl and finished the year with 932 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns.

Should the Crimson Tide be without Yeldon, they should be fine, given they have sophomore Derrick Henry (895 yards, 10 TD) and freshman Tyren Jones also in the fold. Henry carried 20 times for 141 yards and two touchdowns in the SEC championship game win over Missouri, a game in which Yeldon also scored twice.
