Alabama condemns tasteless attempt at Hurricane Katrina joke

Alabama was not amused by a tasteless banner that was hung by Crimson Tide fans.

Sadly, sometimes fans take college football rivalries too far. The latest example comes from Crimson Tide fans who posted a banner that mocked the LSU community affected by devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Thankfully, Alabama acted quickly to condemn the banner. The school sent this message out Friday evening soon after the photo was released online.

Former Tiger star and current New York Giant receiver Odell Beckham Jr. answered the hateful post with the perfect retort in anticipation for the showdown against Alabama:

Katrina never broke us, it made us savages… @_fournette7

OBJ wins this battle hands down.
