In Friday night's Pac-12 battle between the California Golden Bears and the visiting Washington Huskies, Cal's first drive ended with a fumble, recovered by Washington. Here, Huskies safety Justin Glenn ends the Golden Bears' second drive in similar fashion. Cal would punt on its next two possessions before scoring a TD on its fifth. Ultimately, in a game dominated by defense to the very end, the Huskies won 21-13 on the strength of four turnovers (though Washington also had four turnovers) and 189 yards rushing by Bishop Sankey.
In a play indicative of how the first half played out, California defensive back Steve Williams tackles Washington receiver Cody Bruns during the first quarter on Friday night. The two teams played to a 7-7 tie in the game's first 30 minutes. Bruns finished with one catch for nine yards, though he did average 19 yards on a pair of punt returns.
California wide receiver Chris Harper (No. 6) falls in front of Washington's Desmond Trufant in the first quarter, but still comes up with the grab. Harper was the game's leading receiver with 101 yards on seven catches.
Quarterback Tyler Tettleton and Ohio rebound from the Bobcats' first loss of the season with a 45-14 rout of visiting Eastern Michigan on Thursday night. Tettleton threw for 255 yards and three TDs as the Bobcats improved to 8-1 overall — OU lost at Miami of Ohio 23-20 five days earlier.
Eastern Michigan's Ryan Brumfield gains some positive yards and tries to avoid Ohio's diving Carl Jones (89). Brumfield finished with both of EMU's touchdowns, but the Eagles fell to 1-8 overall and 0-5 in the Mid-American Conference West Division. The 4-1 Bobcats are second in the East, behind 4-0 Kent State.
Eastern Michigan defensive lineman Andy Mulumba (56) leaps and celebrates over Devin Henderson, who picks off an Ohio pass with 2:08 left in the second quarter and the Eagles trailing 17-14. But the Eagles went three-and-out and the Bobcats added a TD before the break.

Miami's Duke Johnson (8) made it a tough night for visiting Va. Tech, finishing with 217 all-purpose yards. The freshman tailback returned two punts for 118 yards, including an 81-yard romp, and rushed for 100 yards and a score on 11 carries.

It was Aikens' only catch of the game as the Hilltoppers fell to 6-3 overall and 3-2 in the Sun Belt Conference. The Blue Raiders improved to 6-3 and 4-1.
