What a college football season! Here are my final five for the Heisman Trophy in the order I believe they will finish from fifth to first. I have a vote, but this list doesn't reveal HOW I will vote, only how I expect the voting to shake out. — CHARLES DAVIS (@cfd22)
Season stats: 4,111 yards passing, 34 touchdowns Idle this week, but if he plays big vs. Oklahoma and his Cowboys win the Big 12, well ...
Trent Richardson (RB, Alabama)
Last week: 27 carries, 203 yards and one receiving touchdown in 42-14 rout of Auburn. Season stats: 1,583 yards rushing, 20 touchdowns; 327 yards receiving, three scores. Talk about statements!
Kellen Moore (QB, Boise State)
Last week: 24 of 36, 279 yards, three TDs and an interception in 36-14 victory over Wyoming. Season stats: 3,194 yards passing, 38 touchdowns Moore really doesn’t look the part, but he performs at a high level every week, and his team wins.
Andrew Luck (QB, Stanford)
Last week: 20 of 30, 233 yards, four TDs and an interception in 28-14 win over Notre Dame. Season stats: 3,170 yards passing, 35 touchdowns Broke more records, both season and career, in victory. Stanford now headed to second straight BCS bowl.
Robert Griffin III (QB, Baylor)
Last week: 7-for-11, 106 yards, one TD Seaon stats: 3,678 yards passing, 34 touchdowns; 612 yards rushing, seven scores. Played well in rout of Texas Tech before suffering an apparent concussion. But he's expected back for the visit to Texas on Dec. 3, seeking another signature win/performance.
Matt Barkley (QB, USC)
Last week: Six TD passes in 50-0 destruction of UCLA. Season stats: 3,528 yards passing, 39 touchdowns A remarkable season for him and his USC team — best in the Pac-12, but ineligible to claim the crown.
