2014 stats: 1 interception, 9 pass breakups Dennis didn't start until the last five games of the season in 2014. Once he was inserted into the lineup, the Mizzou coaching staff realized his potential as a lockdown corner. Kenya played a large role in the Tigers' East division championship by shutting down Tennessee and Arkansas in the final two SEC games for the Tigers. Imagine what he'll do with a full season of starts.

Taveze Calhoun — Mississippi State Bulldogs
2014 stats: 1 interception, 9 pass breakups The undersized Calhoun plays with a chip on his shoulder and is known for delivering huge hits on the field. If he adjusts quickly to Manny Diaz's system, he will start for the third consecutive season in 2015.

Mike Hilton — Mississippi Rebels
2014 stats: 3 interceptions, 7 pass breakups Hilton has played all over the secondary for the Rebels, playing his best at safety last season. Ole Miss will look upon Hilton to lead the defensive backfield, as Senquez Golson and Cody Prewitt are off to the NFL in 2015.

Fred Tiller — Kentucky Wildcats
2014 stats: 2 interceptions, 9 pass breakups One of the few bright spots for the Wildcats on defense last season, Tiller scored on a pick-six against rival Louisville. Tiller is expected to regain his starting role in 2015, as Kentucky will work toward making a bowl game for the first time under Mark Stoops.

Armani Watts — Texas A&M Aggies
2014 stats: 3 interceptions, 8 pass breakups Watts was another outstanding freshman for the Aggies last season that is expected to take a jump in the first year under John Chavis. The Aggies only caught five interceptions last season, but the freshman had three of them. Expect both numbers to double in 2015.

Jared Collins — Arkansas Razorbacks
2014 stats: 0 interceptions, 13 pass breakups Collins went from a weak link in week one to one of the Razorbacks' best defenders by season's end. The Arkansas defense shut out top-20 LSU and Ole Miss at the end of their SEC schedule, and Collins played a large role in shutting down those passing games.

Aarion Penton — Missouri Tigers
2014 stats: 3 interceptions, 10 pass breakups Penton led the Tigers in interceptions despite receiving a suspension for alleged marijuana possession in November. If Penton can earn his way back into the starting rotation, Mizzou could have one of the best corner tandems in the SEC in 2015.

Brian Poole — Florida Gators
2014 stats: 4 interceptions, 10 pass breakups Poole helped turn the tide against ECU in the Birmingham Bowl with an early pick-six against the Pirates. The former five-star recruit finally emerged for the Gators last season and actually had one more interception than All-American teammate Vernon Hargreaves in 2014.

Cameron Sutton — Tennessee Volunteers
2014 stats: 3 interceptions, 13 pass breakups Arguably the best player for Tennessee since the moment he stepped onto the field, Sutton has started every game of his two-year career. Sutton looks to develop into the SEC's next great shutdown corner in 2015 with the help of added pass rushers headed to Knoxville this offseason.

Cyrus Jones — Alabama Crimson Tide
2014 stats: 3 interceptions, 13 pass breakups Nick Saban and Kirby Smart have a ton of confidence in Jones, typically leaving him on an island against the opponent's best receiver. Jones rewarded that faith last season by leading the team in interceptions and forcing an additional two fumbles.

Vernon Hargreaves III — Florida Gators
2014 stats: 3 interceptions, 13 pass breakups Perhaps the best athlete in a conference known for its exceptional athletes, Hargreaves has been named First Team All-SEC in both of his seasons in Gainesville. Offenses have to design gameplans around Vernon, almost exclusively throwing to the other side of the field of him for fear of a turnover. If Hargreaves has another All-SEC season, expect him to be a top-five NFL pick in 2016.

Jonathan Jones — Auburn Tigers
2014 stats: 6 interceptions, 11 pass breakups A second-team All-SEC selection, Jones returns after leading the conference in interceptions. Look for Jones to be a centerpiece for Will Muschamp's defense, filling in the Hargreaves role in the coach's system. If the Tigers can find ways to get to the passer, Jones could repeat as the SEC's interception king.
