Jack Zergiotis - Struggles mightily against Fresno State Zergiotis completed 12 of 24 passes for 61 yards against Fresno State.
Impact Connecticut was overmatched Saturday and Zergiotis had little chance of success. He completed half of his passes at 2.5 yards per pass attempt. Zergiotis should have smoother sailing against Holy Cross but the schedule after that is daunting.

Josh Kelly - Solid in opener Kelly caught three passes for 54 yards Saturday against Connecticut.
Impact Kelly was impressive despite limited opportunities, highlighted by a 37-yard reception. He was one of Fresno State's starting receivers but the Bulldogs emptied the bench and used 11 different pass-catchers against the Huskies. Look for the target rotation to tighten up against Oregon.

Kevin Mensah - Held in check Saturday Mensah had 11 carries for 31 yards Saturday against Fresno State.
Impact Saturday marked Connecticut's first game since 2019. Mensah paced the backfield with 11 carries but the UConn line was unable to generate much push. Connecticut finished the day with 35 yards on 31 rushing attempts. Mensah stands to see plenty of volume moving forward but Connecticut will likely be overmatched most weeks.
