Kiael Kelly - Bounces back against Kent State Kelly was 17-for-29 passing for 173 yards and two touchdowns during Wednesday's 17-13 win over Kent State. He also had 21 rushes for 53 yards.
Impact Kelly has struggled as a passer for most of this season and made up for it on the ground, but he established a great passing performance against the Flashes. The starting quarterback threw two touchdowns for the first time in six weeks and the second time this season. He also got the Cardinals their third win in the MAC. Kelly will look for another victory against Eastern Michigan at home next Saturday.

Qua Ashley - Heads to locker room Wednesday Ashley (undisclosed) went to the locker room during Wednesday's game versus Kent, SB Nation reports.
Impact Ashley went down in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's contest and has since been taken to the locker room. It's currently unclear what injury he's dealing with. In order to make a return to the game he will need the locker room trip to be quick since there's only a few minutes left in the contest.

Elijah Jackson - Available vs. Kent State Jackson (undisclosed) is not on the injury report and will be available to face Kent State on Wednesday.
Impact Jackson is set to return to the backfield for Ball State. However, he's not expected to play a significant role since he's sitting behind Qua Ashley and TJ Horton in the backfield.

Qua Ashley - Low usage in loss Ashley logged 11 rushes for 37 yards and gathered in 1 of 2 targets for eight yards during Saturday's 21-7 loss against Northern Illinois.
Impact Ashley still logged double-digit carries against the Huskies, but he surrendered most of his touches to quarterback Kiael Kelly, who had 27 rushes. Ashley remains the top rusher in the Cardinals' backfield, but the struggles of the offense have made his output volatile. He'll hopefully do more against Kent State next Wednesday.

Kiael Kelly - Struggles as passer against huskies Kelly completed 10 of 23 passes for 136 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Saturday's 21-7 defeat versus Northern Illinois. He also had 27 rushes for 86 yards.
Impact Kelly took over as the rusher for the Cardinals in the loss with 27 rushes, but he couldn't get things going on the passing front. The starting quarterback has now thrown for less than 150 yards in his last three games, although he has focused more on being a runner in that stretch as well. He'll hopefully be better in the air against Kent State next Wednesday.

Jalen Alexander - Out Saturday Alexander (undisclosed) is out for Saturday's game at Northern Illinois, per the MAC availability report.
Impact Alexander, who has only logged one snap this season, has been ruled out for Saturday's contest. Given his lack of playing time so far this season, his absence will not make much of an impact on the contest. His next chance to play is Nov. 5 versus Kent State.

Elijah Jackson - Inactive Week 9 Jackson (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against NIU.
Impact Jackson will remain sidelined as the Cardinals face off against the Huskies in Week 9. The 5-foot-8 redshirt sophomore has appeared in three games this season, tallying eight carries for 17 yards on the ground and one reception for 37 yards through the air on the year.

Koby Gross - Grabs score in win Gross gathered in all three targets for 81 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 42-28 victory versus Akron.
Impact Gross has been pretty quiet as a pass catcher so far this season. The tight end was a beast, though, against the Zips with 81 yards including a 29-yard touchdown. He likely won't be as involved next week, but he did show he can function as a consistent target moving forward.

Qua Ashley - Bounces back against Zips Ashley compiled 20 carries for 143 yards and one touchdown and caught his only target for one yard during Saturday's 42-28 win over Akron.
Impact Ashley was coming off a rough two-game stretch before the matchup against the Zips, so the huge outing was a great bounce back game. The starting running back logged just his second game of the year with 100 or more rushing yards, and he found the end zone for the first time since Week 4. He'll hopefully stay involved and solid at NIU next Saturday.

Kiael Kelly - Rushing superstar in win Kelly was 10-for-19 passing for 121 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday's 42-28 win against Akron. He also had 19 rushes for 58 yards with three touchdowns.
Impact Kelly wasn't great as a passer over the Zips, but he truly shined on the ground with a season-high three touchdowns. The 6-foot-2 quarterback has now rushed for five scores this campaign, and he's rushed for 50 or more yards in four outings. He'll look to get the Cards another win at NIU next Saturday.
