Impact Smith has not appeared for the Bulldogs this season after requiring ankle surgery over the summer. The wide receiver remains questionable to return, though he has progressed well and is close to returning. The coaching staff will use the week to asses Smith's decision before making a decision. If he does not appear Saturday, his next chance to return is Oct. 8 against Auburn.

Impact Smith will undergo surgery, after he suffered an ankle injury during practice on Thursday. The sophomore wideout is expected an extended period of time, including, but not limited to, the rest of fall camp. Smith tallied three receptions for 102 yards and two touchdowns across three games last season. It is unclear when he will be able to return.
