Video Details

Providence coach Ed Cooley joins Cooper Manning to talk golf and cooking.

- I'm here with Ed Cooley, head coach at Providence. Golly. Did you know I'm a big Providence fan?

- Rocking the Friars gear, rocking, I like it, I like it a lot.

- I was there in '87, when we went to the final four, back-- down in New Orleans. Did you know that? I was there.

- '87? I was just born.

- Yeah, well you--

- No, no.

- You look terrible, coach. What's happening up there? I know-- I read you like to eat, or you like to cook? I can't remember which one.

- Love to eat, awful cook. What I always tell my wife and my daughter, whatever you want to eat, I'll boil the water. I make the best boiled water ever.

- I read that in your bio. Because Providence is a foodie town.

- It is, it is. Federal Hill has great food, East Greenwich, Newport. Rhode Island is God's gift.

- Of all the Big East coaches, there's a one on one tournament. How do you stack up?

- Ooh.

- You back them in?

- I'd come in last.

- Really?

- You know-- so, all of us now are at an age where it's do as we say, not as we do. I would say Kevin Willard would be up top. I think Chris Mack would be close, Wojo.

- Yeah?

- The rest of us, no shot.

- I understand you like to play golf, too.

- Ooh.

- Do you? I hit a button right there.

- Yes you did.

- I see you have very soft hands. Short game?

- If I can get off the tee, I can score. If. If.

- You're a thread man, you're a pretty dapper guy. What do you wear, you wear the--

- I come dressed like I am a one handicap, and I leave as a 20.

- It's kind of like this interview goes. Coach, appreciate it.

- Appreciate you, man. Thank you.
