Youngstown St. 91, St. Francis, Pa. 63

Vytas Sulskis scored 22 points in 25 minutes and Youngstown

State got hot in the second half to rout St. Francis (Pa.) 91-63 on

Saturday night.

The Penguins (4-1) scored 51 in the second half and made 16 of

23 shots from the field (69.6 percent) to pull away from the Red

Flash (2-4).

Kendrick Perry added 19 points and gave Youngstown State an

outside presence, making 4 of 6 3-pointers. Devonte Maymon scored

15 for the Penguins and got five steals.

Mislav Yukic scored 18 points and was the only double-figure

scorer for St. Francis, which suffered its second consecutive

defeat and easily the most lopsided loss of the young season.

The Red Flash were whistled for 10 more fouls than Youngstown

State, and the Penguins used that to their advantage at the

free-throw line. The Penguins made 21 of 28 free throws; St.

Francis made 9 of 11.
