W. Carolina 80, Presbyterian 73

Harouna Mutombo led four Catamounts in double-figure scoring

with 20 points as Western Carolina downed Presbyterian 80-73 on

Thursday night.

The Catamounts (2-1) put together a 13-point lead twice inside

the game’s final five minutes, but Presbyterian hung around until

the end.

The Blue Hose (2-2) trimmed the margin to five points on two

separate occasions in the closing moments, but the Catamounts

converted all eight free throw attempts to secure the victory.

It was the eighth straight win in the all-time series, which

Western Carolina now leads 12-1.

Tawaski King finished a perfect 8-for-8 from the floor with a

career-best 16 points. Keaton Cole drained three 3-pointers as a

part of his 12 points, matching his season-high with three steals

to pace the Catamounts.

Presbyterian’s leading scorer, Al’Lonzo Coleman, finished with

18 points.
