VMI 122, Milligan 73

Michael Sparks led five Virginia Military Institute players in

double figures with 19 points and the Keydets defeated Milligan

122-73 on Saturday.

Quinton Upshur and Rodney Glasgow added 15 each, and Keith

Gabriel and Stan Okoye had 14 apiece.

The Keydets made 75 percent from the field (18 of 24) and

outscored the Buffaloes 61-37 in the first half. VMI (5-5) shot

64.4 percent for the game (38 of 59), and were 12 of 25 (48

percent) from 3-point range.

Jarid Watson put the exclamation point on the rout with a dunk

to give VMI its largest lead of the game, by 25 points at 122-71,

with 25 seconds left.

The Keydets outrebounded the Buffaloes 43-28 and scored 25

points off of 17 turnovers.

Mickey Woods led Milligan, of the NAIA, with 12 points. Torrian

Sitton added 11, and Cordero Seymour and Tyler DeVault had 10

each.
