Ricky Tarrant scored 22 points to lead Tulane over MacMurray

89-59 on Saturday night in the Skip Prosser Tournament.

The Green Wave (10-1) outrebounded the Division III Highlanders

41-26, leading to 25 second-chance points.

Dylan Burton scored a layup 40 seconds into the game for a 2-0

MacMurray lead, but Tulane scored 16 straight and led the rest of

the way. MacMurray pulled within three, 26-23, with 5:28 left in

the first half.

Tulane then responded with responded with 13 unanswered points

for a 39-23 advantage on Trent Rogers’ layup with 3:16 left in the

period.

Tulane led 49-30 at halftime.

Kendall Timmons and Ben Cherry added 12 points each for the

Green Wave, who had 13 players score. Tulane scored 27 points off

23 turnovers, with 12 of those coming off steals.

Clayton Whitlock was the only player in double figures, with 10

points, for MacMurray (4-4).
