Towson rallies to beat Charleston 83-77 in OT (Jan 26, 2017)

TOWSON, Md. (AP) Arnaud William Adala Moto and John Davis combined for 38 points and had nine rebounds each as Towson rallied to grab an 83-77 overtime victory over College of Charleston on Thursday night.

Deshaun Morman made two free throws to open the extra period. Mike Morsell hit two more and Davis nailed a jumper as Towson (13-9, 5-4 Colonial) gradually pulled away for its fifth straight victory.

Towson's Brian Starr drilled a 3-pointer to cap a 7-0 spurt and take a 71-70 lead with 21 seconds left in regulation. Joe Chealey split a pair of free throws to tie and send it into the extra period.

Morman finished with 16 points and Starr added 13 for the Tigers, who lost four straight before its winning run.

Grant Riller and Chealey had 25 points apiece for Charleston (16-6, 7-2) which has dropped two of its last three after winning seven straight.
