KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Tennessee has added incoming freshman forward D.J. Burns to its veteran-laden roster.

The Volunteers announced Wednesday that they've signed Burns, a 6-foot-8, 250-pound recruit from Rock Hill, South Carolina. Burns will enroll this week and will be eligible to play in the 2018-19 season.

Burns was originally considered a 2019 prospect before deciding last month to reclassify to the 2018 class. He graduated early on May 25.

Tennessee coach Rick Barnes said in a statement that Burns ''fits our culture on and off the court.'' Barnes said Burns is a good passer who has solid footwork and the ability to make perimeter shots.

Burns is expected to be the lone true freshman on Tennessee's 2018-19 roster. The Vols also will have redshirt freshman forward Zach Kent.
