Talley scores 24 to lead UNC Wilmington past NC Wesleyan (Nov 11, 2017)

WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) Jordon Talley scored a career-high 24 points and set the school record for career dunks, Devontae Cacok added 21 points and 16 boards, and UNC Wilmington opened the season era with a 105-81 over Division III NC Wesleyan 105-81.

Talley was 8-of-9 shooting, missing one of his four 3-pointers, with four dunks, giving him 95 for his career and making a winner of C.B. McGrath in his first game as coach. McGrath spent the last 14 years as an assistant at North Carolina. Cacok, who set an NCAA record shooting 80 percent last season, was 7 of 13 from the field. The Seahawks shot 50 percent even with reserves making just 2 of their last 10 shots.

Cacok and Talley combined for 24 points in the first half when UNC Wilmington shot 59 percent to take a 57-40 lead.

Adrian Moore led the Bishops with 14 points.
