After missing the first two games of the season, St. John's guard Felix Balamou was reinstated by the NCAA on Thursday afternoon, the school announced.

Hours before the Red Storm's home opener against Wagner, the university sent out a release stating Balamou had been suspended for an undisclosed violation. He missed wins over Wagner and UMBC.

The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 1.6 points and 1.1 rebounds in 22 games (three starts) off the bench last season. He'll join a perimeter that includes freshmen Federico Mussini, who is leading the team in scoring at 18.0 points per game, Malik Ellison and graduate transfers Durand Johnson and Ron Mvouika, the team's sixth man.

St. John's hosts Rutgers on Thursday night, part of the Gavitt Tipoff Games.
