Report: SMU guard Frazier ruled academically ineligible

Keith Frazier might not play the rest of this season after reportedly being ruled academically ineligible.

SMU sophomore guard Keith Frazier was ruled academically ineligible and will miss the remainder of the season barring an appeal, ESPN reported Friday.

Frazier is third on the team in scoring, averaging 10.5 points and four rebounds this season for the Mustangs, who have won nine of their past 10 games. He played in 36 games last season, averaging 5.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 14.8 minutes per game.

Frazier was a McDonald’s All-American at Kimball High School in Dallas, where he averaged 23.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 6.3 assists his senior year.
