SAN FRANCISCO (AP) Juwan Gray had 18 points on Saturday night and scored the go-ahead points on a 3-point play with 13 seconds left to help San Diego beat San Francisco 64-61 in the conference season finale for both teams.

The Toreros (18-12, 9-9 West Coast Conference) trailed for most of the final five minutes but Isaiah Pineiro helped them stay close with a pair of pull-up jumpers in the final two minutes, each cutting the deficit to one.

Piniero's second jumper cut it to 61-60 and Gray's 3-point play made it 63-61, setting up the Dons (17-14, 9-9) with a chance to tie or go ahead with their final possession.

But Frankie Ferrari turned it over with three seconds left on a travelling violation. Olin Carter III split a pair of free throws for San Diego with one second left and San Francisco's Matt McCarthy failed to get an attempt to the rim at the buzzer.
