Sacramento St. 71, Cal Poly-SLO 67

Sultan Toles-Bey scored 16 points to lead four Sacramento State

players in double digits as part of a 71-67 victory over Cal

Poly-San Luis Obispo on Saturday night.

Jackson Carbajal, Duro Bjegovic and John Dickson helped out with

13 points each.

The Hornets (2-3) never led by more than five points despite

shooting 59.5 percent from the field. They took the lead for good

with about five and a half minutes left, just managing to hold off

the Mustangs (2-3), who closed the gap to within a point twice down

the stretch.

Cal Poly’s David Hanson led the game in scoring with 23 points

while Shawn Lewis added 14 and Chris O’Brien 12. The Mustang’s Will

Donahue led the game in rebounds with 10.

Cal Poly shot 41.8 percent from the field but outrebounded the

Hornets 29-25.
