After two years, Rodney Bullock finally made an appearance in a Providence uniform, recording a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds in the Friars’ 92-76 exhibition win over Division II Stonehill College on Saturday night.
Bullock, the 6-foot-7 forward, missed the first two years due to suspension and an ACL tear he suffered in October 2014.
Kris Dunn, the Big East Preseason Player of the Year, also ended with a double-double, scoring 15 assists and dishing out 12 assists to just two turnovers. Ben Bentil posted 15 points, while freshman Ryan Fazekas added 10 points off the bench.
“I’ve been a big believer in Rodney from day one,” Cooley said. “He can score the ball multiple ways and he was comfortable out there. I hope he can continue to improve, but he’s got to get in better shape.”
Providence opens the season on Nov. 14 against Harvard.
