Osaghae, Andrews lead FIU past Middle Tennessee 83-69

UNIVERSITY PARK, Fla. (AP) — Osasumwen Osaghae and Devon Andrews scored 18 points apiece and Florida International breezed to an 83-69 victory over Middle Tennessee on Saturday.

Osaghae sank 7 of 12 shots from the floor for the Panthers (13-6, 4-2 Conference USA) and he added 11 rebounds and blocked four shots. It was Osaghae's fifth double-double of the season. Andrews buried 4 of 5 from 3-point range to help FIU shoot 39% from distance. Antonio Daye Jr. pitched in with 14 points, five assists and four steals. Eric Lovett added 12 points off the bench, while Trejon Jacob contributed 11 points and nine rebounds.

C.J. Jones hit four 3-pointers and paced the Blue Raiders (4-15, 0-6) with 24 points. Reserve Antonio Green added 16 points and five rebounds. Reggie Scurry and Jayce Johnson scored 10 points apiece.

Middle Tennessee shot just 38% overall, 28% from distance and 67% at the foul line (18 of 27). The Blue Raiders have lost 10 straight games.
