SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) Mitch Hahn sank five 3-pointers for 15 points and led four players in double figures as Omaha beat UC Santa Barbara 74-60 in a season opener on Saturday.
Tre'Shawn Thurman and Zach Jackson added 14 points apiece for the Mavericks. Jackson led the team with eight rebounds. Tra-Deon Hollins had 12 points and eight assists. The team averaged 40 percent shooting from the field and 81 percent from the free throw line.
The Mavericks ended the first half on a 10-0 run, turning a 6-point deficit into a 34-30 halftime lead, and they never looked back.

They continued the rally in the second period with a 15-5 start to take a 49-35 lead and cruised to the win from there.
Ami Lakoju and Gabe Vincent led the Gauchos with 12 points apiece. It was a career-high for Lakoju. Eric Childress added 10 points.
