NC Central 104, Barber-Scotia 55

Landon Clement scored 30 points, including seven 3-pointers, and

North Carolina Central defeated Barber-Scotia 104-55 on

Saturday.

The Eagles have scored more than 100 points three times this

season, all against non-Division I opponents.

Four other players scored in double figures – Willis Ray added

19 points, Dominique Sutton had 14, Ebuka Anyaorah had 13 and Nick

Chasten 10 – for the Eagles (2-3). Sutton also had 10 rebounds.

North Carolina Central shot 57.4 percent (39 of 68) from the

field and tied a season-high with nine 3-pointers. The Eagles

scored 33 points off 26 Barber-Scotia turnovers and outpointed the

Sabers 22-8 on fast-break points. It was the most turnovers forced

this year for the Eagles.

Barber-Scotia shot only 36.4 percent (20 of 55) from the field,

and made 9 of 31 in the second half.

Tyrell Alston scored 14 points and Rodney Carney added 10 for

Barber-Scotia (0-7).
