for Monmouth (N.J.) in an 80-65 win over Fordham on Saturday

night.

start the game for the Hawks, who opened on a 12-0 run and were

never seriously challenged in the win.

The Hawks led 36-23 at the break and outscored the Rams 44-42 in

the second to seal it.

Chris Gaston scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Rams

(3-5), who have dropped consecutive games for the first time this

season.
