Most fun team in sports? The Monmouth Hawks, of course
The Monmouth Hawks are not afraid to have a good time.
For proof, check the video above and enjoy the "Hawks’ nest" performing the "Edward Scissor Legs" and more.
Monmouth, based out of West Long Beach, NJ, has to have the most fun bench in the country. The Metro Atlantic Athletic school recently played in several national televised games during the long Thanksgiving weekend, participating in the AdvoCare Invitational in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
The Hawks (4-2) finished third in the eight-team tournament, claiming a 70-68 upset of No. 17 Notre Dame in Thursday’s opener, falling to Dayton 73-70 in Friday’s semifinals and defeating USC 83-73 in the third-place game on Sunday.

How about some "funlights" from the Dayton game?
The upset of the Irish was Monmouth’s first win vs. a Top-25 opponent in the program’s history.
Justin Robinson, a junior guard, scored a tournament-record 77 points in the three games, scoring 28 vs. Dayton and hitting five 3-points in a 27-point outing vs. USC.
There just seems to be something special about this Monmouth club, which opened the season with an 84-81 overtime victory at UCLA.
By the way, the Hawks have been to the NCAA Tournament four times, going 1-4 with the win coming in their last appearance, a 2006 play-in game vs. Hampton — they then lost to top-seeded Villanova 58-48. (The Monmouth men’s basketball team began Division-I play in 1983).
Not only for the fun of it, but FOX Sports suggests keeping an eye out for these Hawks the rest of the season, and cheering for a mid- to late-March appearance.
