Manjon scores 16 to lead UC Davis over CS Northridge 66-62

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Ezra Manjon had 16 points and six rebounds as UC Davis beat Cal State Northridge 66-62 on Saturday.

Elijah Pepper had 15 points and six rebounds for UC Davis (8-11, 2-1 Big West Conference). Joe Mooney added 13 points and six rebounds and four assists.

Terrell Gomez made 6 of 12 from the arc and scored 22 points for the Matadors (7-13, 2-2). Lamine Diane added 19 points and 11 rebounds. Darius Brown II had seven rebounds.

Gomez made a 3-pointer with 33 seconds left to make it 65-62 but the Matadors missed two 3-point tries after that, the last with five seconds remaining.

UC Davis plays Cal State Fullerton at home on Wednesday. Cal State Northridge takes on UC Santa Barbara on the road on Wednesday.
