Louisville Basketball: The Boston College Eagles Are Fading Fast

We take a look at the Louisville basketball team’s next opponent, Boston College, and why they are heading downhill very fast.

Louisville basketball fans should feel extremely confident in the Cards’ ability to beat Boston College this weekend. Not only are the Eagles (9-14), but they have just lost six games in-a-row with their five-point loss to Wake Forest on Tuesday night.

With that being said, nothing is given in this league, whereas everything is earned.

The Cardinals are obviously the better team heading into the weekend, but not one conference road game will ever be easy. Well, unless someone is heading up to Pittsburgh to play the Panthers.

All kidding aside, the Eagles basketball team has been battling hard, but they haven’t been able to come out on top. Just take a look at what I mean:

  • Lost by 5 to Wake Forest
  • Lost by 6 to Virginia Tech
  • Lost by 1 to Miami
  • Lost by 8 to North Carolina

Over their past four games, the most they have lost by is eight points. It’s not like these guys can’t hang in there with solid teams, it’s just they don’t have enough to actually win.

Again, Louisville should have zero problems handling anything that Boston College does on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals have played in way too many big games this season to let a team like the Eagles trip them up.
