Liam Thomas has triple-double with 10 blocks in Nicholls win (Feb 23, 2017)

SAN ANTONIO (AP) Liam Thomas had 14 points, 13 rebounds and 10 blocks and Nicholls beat Incarnate Word 77-68 on Thursday night.

Jahvaughn Powell had 18 points and eight assists and Jonathan Bell added 17 points and 11 rebounds for Nicholls (13-15, 6-9 Southland).

The game stayed close for the first 25 minutes and then the Colonels had a 17-3 run to lead 57-42 with 10:48 left. The Cardinals (11-16, 6-10) answered with a 10-point rally but got no closer.

Simi Socks had 22 points, Jalin Hart added 18 and Sam Burmeister scored 16 for Incarnate Word.

The Colonels had lost four of five coming into the game. The Cardinals have lost six of seven.
