La Salle 82, Columbia 71
Ruben Guillandeaux, in his first game after missing most of last
season as a medical redshirt, scored a career-high 29 points to
lead LaSalle to an 82-71 win over Columbia on Friday night.
Guillandeaux made 6 of 8 shots from three-point range and scored
25 points in the second half to help a second-half comeback by the
Explorers that erased a 12-point deficit.
Columbia led 56-44 with 15:33 to play, but the Explorers battled
back to tie the game at 65-65 on a 3-pointer by Guillandeaux with
5:28 to play. The Explorers outscored Columbia 17-6 the rest of the
Aaric Murray added 16 points for the Explorers in the season
opener for both teams. The loss spoiled the debut of Columbia coach
