Kozinski, DiLeo lead Central Michigan past Chicago St, 90-82 (Dec 30, 2016)

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) Josh Kozinski tied a career best with six 3-pointers and scored a career-high 20 points, David DiLeo had a double-double and Central Michigan held on for a 90-82 win over Chicago State on Friday.

DiLeo finished with 16 points - including a career-high four 3s - and tied his career-best with 11 rebounds. Braylon Rayson had 18 points, six assist and two steals, Marcus Keene scored 16 with eight assists and Cecil Williams added 15 points. Rayson and Keene, however, combined to make just 10 of 37 (27 percent).

DiLeo hit back-to-back 3-pointers before Rayson made a jumper to give Central Michigan (10-3) an 83-76 lead with three minutes to go. Clemmye Owens V hit a 3 and, after Keene made a layup on the other end, Fred Sims Jr. converted a 3-point play to trim Chicago State's deficit to 85-82, but Williams answered with a 3-point play and capped the scoring with two free throws.

Sims scored 27 while Owens and Trayvon Palmer had 17 points apiece for Chicago State (4-12), which has lost three in a row and eight of its last nine.
