Jacksonville 69, Auburn 55

Keith McDougald scored 15 points to lead four Jacksonville

players in double figures as the Dolphins defeated Auburn 69-55 on

Saturday night for their fourth straight win.

Jacksonville (4-1) hasn’t lost since dropping its season opener

to Miami 89-77 on Nov. 12.

The Tigers (1-4), coming off a 68-66 win over Middle Tennessee,

jumped out to a 9-3 lead, but the Dolphins used a 21-3 run to push

ahead 24-12 with 8:11 left in the first half. The Tigers cut the

margin to two and trailed 33-29 at the break.

In the second half, Auburn fell behind by nine, then closed to

50-46 on an Earnest Ross 3-pointer.

Travis Cohn scored on a layup and a tip-in to widen the lead to

eight, and the Tigers could get no closer than five the rest of the

way. Cohn finished with 13 points, while Russell Powell and Ayron

Hardy had 11 each.

Ross led Auburn with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
