Get in the hole! Fan sinks full-court putt to win new car

Patrick Burch is a steely-eyed missile man.

Anyone can sink a putt on a nice, smooth green. It takes a special kind of warrior to drill a full-court shot on an unforgiving hardwood floor.

Patrick Burch, just your average mild-mannered fan, addressed a golf ball at one end of the court during halftime of the Mississippi State-Auburn game on Saturday. His target was sitting 95 feet away at the other end of the court. The stakes? How about $15,000 to put towards a new car at a local Toyota dealership.

He’d need nerves of steel to drain this one. Well, call him Ironman, because Burch did this:

Boom goes the dynamite! What a shot … enjoy your new car, kid!
