DENTON, Texas (AP) Keith Frazier scored 12 points and J-Mychal Reese was 6 of 6 at the foul line in the final 53 seconds as North Texas defeated Southeastern Louisiana 71-65 on Tuesday night despite scoring just 10 points in the final eight minutes.

While North Texas went cold and scored just one point in four minutes, Southeastern Louisiana wasn't much warmer, scoring nine points over a seven-minute span to come as close as 62-56 with about a minute remaining.

Frazier hit a late jumper and Reese went to the line twice in about 30 seconds, hitting all four free throws and the Mean Green (6-5) stayed just out of reach.

Davon Hayes scored 27 points for the Lions (6-6), two shy of his career-best 29 from Dec. 12. James Currington added 12 points including four in the final 13 seconds
