Foster, Krampelj lead Creighton past N. Dakota, 111-68 (Dec 05, 2017)

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) Marcus Foster scored 23 points, sophomore Martin Krampelj had 15 points and a career-high 14 rebounds for his first career double-double, and Creighton beat North Dakota 111-68 on Tuesday night.

Khyri Thomas and Toby Hegner each scored 15 points and Ty-Shon Alexander added 11 for Creighton (6-2). The Bluejays have scored at least 100 points four times this season and are averaging 103.8 per game at home.

There were four ties in the first four minutes before Foster scored four points during an 8-0 run that made it 19-11 and Creighton led the rest of the way. Krampelj, Hegner and Thomas each hit a 3-pointer in a 15-2 spurt that made it 34-20 and Alexander's layup pushed the lead to 20 late in the first half. The Fighting Hawks made just three of their final 18 field-goal attempts.

Marlon Stewart had 18 points, Cortez Seales scored 16 and Conner Avants 11 for North Dakota (4-4). That trio combined to shoot 19 of 35 (54.3 percent) from the field while the rest of the Fighting Hawks made just 8 of 32 field-goal attempts.
