Fletcher's triple-double leads Toledo to MAC West crown (Feb 27, 2018)

DEKALB, Ill. (AP) Tre'Shaun Fletcher scored 20 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished 11 assists and Toledo walloped Northern Illinois 97-67 Tuesday night to clinch the Mid-American Conference West Division title outright.

The Rockets (21-9, 13-4) have won the MAC West seven times. Fletcher shot 7 of 11 from the floor, a perfect 4-for-4 at the line and his 11 assists were a career-best as he recorded the second triple-double in school history. Toledo turned 11 Northern Illinois turnovers into 20 points, never trailed, were up 48-27 at the half and led by as many as 36 points.

Jaelan Sanford added 16 points with seven rebounds, Luke Knapke was a perfect 5-for-5 shooting and added 13 points. Eleven players scored for the Rockets, who outscored Northern Illinois 36-7 in points off the bench.

Eugene German led the Huskies (12-18, 5-12) with 27 points. The sophomore has scored in double figures in every game this season.
