Eastern Kentucky holds off Southeast Missouri late, 91-86 (Jan 13, 2018)

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) DeAndre Dishman and Dedric Boyd each scored four points in the final minute to carry Eastern Kentucky to a 91-86 win over Southeast Missouri State in an Ohio Valley Conference battle Saturday.

The Colonels now have beaten SEMO seven straight times and leads the all-time series 33-15.

Nick Mayo gave Eastern Kentucky (8-11, 2-4) the lead on a 3-pointer with 2:14 left, Dujuanta Weaver added two free throws and Dishman added two free throws and a layup for an 87-83 lead with 18 seconds left. Boyd converted four straight free throws to close out the scoring.

Jackson Davis led the Colonels with 18 points and Dishman contributed 17. Weaver added 15 and Mayo 11.

Eastern Kentucky shot 45 percent from the floor, hitting 29 of 64, including 12 of 29 from distance and 21 of 22 from the line.

Denzel Mahoney scored 25 points to lead the Redhawks (8-11, 2-4) and Daniel Simmons scored 22. Southeast Missouri State was 30 of 60 from the field, including 11 of 28 from behind the arc.
