East Carolina 74, Erskine 46

Jamar Abrams scored 16 points and Erin Straughn 12 as East

Carolina led from start to finish in defeating Erskine 74-46 Friday

night in the opener for both teams.

Leading 28-23 with 3:33 left in the first half, Abrams made

three free throws and Straughn hit a 3-pointer to help the Pirates

take a 36-25 halftime lead, which they widened throughout the

second half.

a Division II school.
