Michigan is adding basketball transfer Duncan Robinson from Williams College.

The 6-foot-8 Robinson will sit out the 2014-15 season. He started 31 games for Williams in his only season with the Ephs. He became the first Williams freshman to reach 500 points in a season.

Williams College reached the NCAA Division III championship game last season, losing 75-73 to Wisconsin-Whitewater. Robinson scored 17 points in that game.

Robinson played at Williams for Mike Maker, who was once an assistant to Michigan coach John Beilein. Maker left Williams to take the coaching job at Marist.
