Delaware State ends Division I's 2nd-longest losing streak (Feb 19, 2018)

DOVER, Del. (AP) Marquis Collins had 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists and Delaware State ended Division I's second-longest losing streak at 21 games with a 69-51 victory over Coppin State on Monday night.

Delaware State (3-25, 1-12 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), which entered 0-25 against D-I competition, has wins against D-III Cairn in the season opener and D-II Georgian Court in late November.

Saleik Edwards added 18 points and Simon Okolue and Artem Tavakalyan each chipped in 11 points for DSU. Tavakalyan, who scored all of his points in the second half, finished a lob with a two-handed dunk and sank a corner 3-pointer to put DSU up 47-30 midway through the second half.

Chad Andrews-Fulton scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Coppin State (5-24, 5-9). The Eagles, who have lost five of their last six games, shot just 30.9 percent from the field.
