Creighton has been plagued with injuries through the first few weeks of the preseason.

Zach Hanson and Isaiah Zierden both missed practice earlier this week, according to Steve Pivovar of the Omaha World-Herald. Zierden missed the final 13 games of the the 2014-15 season with a knee injury.

Zierden and Hanson joined transfer Marcus Foster and freshman guard Marlon Stewart on the sidelines. Foster is out until the end of next month as he recovers from partially torn MCL. He is sitting out this season due to NCAA transfer rules. Stewart underwent surgery this week to repair a cartilage tear and will be out a month. He tweeted that the procedure was successful on Thursday morning.

Creighton ended 2014-15 with a 14-19 (4-14 Big East) record. The Bluejays were predicted to place ninth in the Big East this season.
