MACOMB, Ill. (AP) Garret Covington hit four 3-pointers and scored a season-high 26 points and Western Illinois cruised to a 91-53 win over Division III Crown College on Wednesday.
Dalan Ancrum had 13 points to lead four other Leathernecks in double figures. Covington had eight rebounds and C.J. Duff had seven points and seven assists.
Western Illinois (2-3) had a 16-2 run to open a 29-16 lead and then outscored the Storm 22-4 over the final eight minutes to lead 53-24 at the half.

Austin VanDerHeyden led Crown, which used the game as an exhibition, with 17 points and Timothy Wendel had 13. Crown shot 28 percent for the game (16 of 58) and made just 14 of 22 free throws while getting outrebounded 45-35.
Covington has scored at least 15 points in every game this season and has reached double figures in 14 straight and 33 of 34 to move into 11th on the school scoring list with 1,436 points.
