Coll. of Charleston 93, W. Carolina 64

Andrew Goudelock scored 29 points to become the College of

Charleston’s career scoring leader and Bobby Cremins won his 100th

game as the Cougars coach in a 93-64 rout of Western Carolina on

Thursday night.

Goudelock entered the game 17 points behind Ken (Gus) Gustafson,

who played from 1971-75, and now has 2,147.

Cremins, who is 100-55 at Charleston, is one of only 11 coaches

to record 100 or more victories at three different NCAA Division I

schools. He also coached at Appalachian State and Georgia Tech.

Jeremy Simmons added 20 points for the Cougars (13-6, 6-1

Southern Conference), who led 48-28 at halftime and by as many as

36 in snapping Western Carolina’s four-game winning streak.

Charleston shot 57.1 percent (40 of 70), including 61.8 percent

in the second half (21 of 34).

Brandon Boggs scored 19 points and Mike Williams 18 for the

Catamounts (8-11, 4-3).
