Brown 69, Fordham 65

Peter Sullivan scored 17 points, including five of six free

throws in the last 25 seconds, to lead Brown to a 69-65 win over

Fordham on Friday night.

Brown held a 58-49 lead with 7:27 left in the second half after

Sean McGonagill hit a 3-pointer off an Adrian Williams assist.

McGonagill finished with nine points and six assists.

Fordham used a 10-0 run, capped by a free throw from Brenton

Butler, to take a 59-58 advantage. That’s the last time Fordham

would lead as Brown answered with five straight points to take a

63-59 advantage on a 3-pointer by Tucker Halpern, who finished with

10 points and six assists.

Andrew McCarthy scored 11 points for Brown.

Fordham cut the margin to two points with 1:17 left in the

second half on a 3-pointer by Butler, but it would pull no

closer.

Chris Gaston led Fordham with 21 points, while Butler added 17

points.
