Big offensive day helps Gardner-Webb beat Bob Jones 105-37

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. (AP) — David Efianayi had 20 points and eight assists to help Gardner-Webb beat Bob Jones 105-37 on Thursday.

Jose Perez added 18 points on 7-for-8 shooting for the Runnin' Bulldogs (5-5), who shot 51 percent and had five players in double figures. Gardner-Webb never trailed, leading 53-18 by halftime and pushing that margin to 73 points late.

The Big South Conference team hit 13 of 24 3-pointers (54 percent), finished with a 54-29 rebounding advantage and scored 33 points off turnovers.

Jayson Barnhart scored 20 points to lead the Bruins (1-8), a Division II program in the National Christian College Athletic Association's South Region. Barnhart was their only double-digit scorer.

The Bruins shot 22 percent (11 of 51), including a stretch of 12 first-half minutes without a basket that saw a 13-6 deficit balloon to 41-12 by late in the half. They also made 1 of 18 3-pointers.
