Anderson’s put-back dunk lifts Wagner over Rider 65-64

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (AP) Corey Henson scored 13 and Dwaun Anderson added 12, including the winning, put-back dunk with two seconds left, to lift Wagner to a 65-64 win over Rider on Tuesday night.

Michael Carey and Japhet Kadji scored 11 apiece for Wagner (5-2).

Kadji made a layup and a 3-pointer and Henson hit two free throws to put Wagner up 61-56 with 2:47 left. Kahlil Thomas and Xavier Lundy each made a pair of free throws to pull Rider (1-8) within one just more than a minute later.

After a jumper by Anderson made it 63-60 with 60 seconds to play, Lundy made back-to-back layups to give the Broncs a one-point lead with 12 seconds remaining.

Anderson had a layup blocked out of bounds by Lundy and, after a missed 3 by Henson, Anderson grabbed the offensive rebound setting up his put-back winner.

Lundy led Rider with a career-high 22 points.
